Technical Assistance for Black-Owned Businesses
Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO) provides culturally specific technical assistance for Black-owned businesses that have been negatively impacted by the pandemic.
Small businesses can get free one-on-one technical assistance and support accessing relief funding or other business capital by completing the Business Intake Form.
Who’s eligible?
Black-owned businesses located in the city of Portland or city of Portland residents who own a business.
Businesses at all stages (idea stage, start-up, or established) can enroll. There are no income restrictions.
Services include:
Business technical assistance and one-on-one coaching (e.g. business planning, marketing strategy, business growth)
Access to capital (e.g. COVID relief assistance, business loans or grants, matching fund accounts)
Commercial tenanting support
Market research data
Training and workshops
Credit building
